The Canal Festival 2023

We were thrilled to set up our stall at the Canal Festival, eager to share the joy of art parties with the community. Despite initial worries about the weather, our new gazebo stood up to the challenge. As we arranged our sand art supplies and laid out our take-home kits, the anticipation was palpable. Our goal was to provide a memorable experience filled with creative activities.

The day began with a brief drizzle that smudged our chalkboard, but the sun soon emerged, setting the stage for a fantastic event. The sand art pictures we introduced proved to be a huge hit. Families and friends flocked to our stall, immersing themselves in the vibrant world of sand art. Children of all ages, and even some adults, enjoyed the tactile joy of filling their chosen images with colorful sand. This experience highlighted that art is not just about the final product but about the creative journey and the connections it fosters.

Our lollies were a popular treat, and in exchange for them, we gained Instagram and Facebook follows, and had enriching conversations about our upcoming craft parties and workshops. The enthusiasm for our craft activities and the heartfelt feedback we received reaffirmed our belief in the power of creativity to bring people together.

As the day went on, the wind proved too much for our gazebo, but the community’s warm reception made it all worthwhile. We look forward to returning next year and continuing our mission of fostering creativity and connection.
